Manchester Airports Group aims to lead the way among airports in addressing our social and environmental responsibilities. The Group is committed to implementing a challenging programme of improvement. We would like to address all impacts that we have as an organisation and use innovative ways to improve our business for our colleagues and customers in a sustainable manner.
Together, our four airports handle over 29 million passengers a year and 496,000 tonnes of freight. Our airports provide direct employment for over 26,000 people, support a further 50,000 jobs and contribute around £3.5 billion to the economy. We believe that airports have a leading role to play in the regeneration of our major cities and help with inward investment and inbound tourism. According to independent analysis, our business could grow still further to generate £6.3 billion in value and support 260,000 jobs by 2015.
To ensure MAG is a responsible, sustainable business, operating in line with local, regional and national policy.
