Training fir fighters across the world
In 2011-2012 the below training has been completed or is confirmed:

  • 4 Hong Kong Fire officers with us in October and December 2011 for 2 weeks each.
  • 1 Seychelles Fire Officer with us for 4 weeks in February 2012 and a further training session in march 
  • 1 Saudi Arabian Training Officer with us in April 2012 learning our procedures / procedure on the Training Rig

Training that has been confirmed:

  • 60 Sellafield Fire Fighters / Officers joining us throughout May 12.
  • 11 Qatar Fire Fighters with us in July 12.
  • 24 Saudi Arabian Training instructors from Ryhad Academy in September 12.
  • 20 Basell (Carrington) Fire Fighters joining us in November 12 for Fire Fighter training.
  • 4 Hong Kong Fire Officers joining us October and November with the first Female officer to join us on secondment.

New partnership for Manchester Airport Fire Training
Manchester Airport Fire Training has been entered in a tri - partnership with GMCFS and Cheshire FS for carbonaceous (Flashover) training.

Cat 10 Operation - A380

In order to accommodate the new A380 at Manchester Airport, the Manchester Airport Fire Station has now been awarded a category 10 operation.

Emirates Airline is to make Manchester Airport the first regional base in the world to host A380 services. The world’s biggest airliner will grace Manchester Airport on a daily basis from September 1st.
