Waste and recycling
Waste disposal is another area that may be introduced into the Carbon Challenge in the future. Again, in the meantime, Manchester Airport is keen to support airport companies in reducing their waste and increasing recycling. Manchester Airport can provide the following:
- Information on legislative compliance
- Ideas for waste reduction
- Advice on waste recycling - 12 different materials can be recycled at various locations across the sit
- Training on safe use of compactors
- Provision of induction material for your staff
- Posters and recycling labels
- Free paper recycling bins and advice on choice of other recycling bins.
