Background: Started career with Manchester Handling Ltd in 1984 working on Check-In, as an Aircraft Dispatcher and within Operations. After three years with Monarch Airlines, moved to Air2000 in 1995 as an Operations Duty Officer before relocating to Newcastle Airport in 1999 to take up the position of Station Manager.
In 2002 moved back to Manchester to manage First Choice Airways ground services for the UK north region before being appointed Control Room Manager for Manchester Airport in 2006. Following completion of the Airport Control Centre project, appointed Performance Manager in January 2008.
Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate reporting and management information on all aspects of the airports operational performance.
- Assessing and implementing new projects and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
