Background: Over 30 years experience in the aviation industry in a variety of roles. Currently delivering safe and secure category 10 dual runway operations at Manchester Airport. Responsible for managing the Airside Operations Team consisting of 300 colleagues in Airfield Operations, Airfield Stand Planning, Airfield Security, Paramedic Services and the Fire Service. Liaison with a wide variety of business partners and regulators including DfT, CAA SRG, AAIB and HSE.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the effective utilisation of all resources to meet regulatory, statutory, MA Group rules, and business requirements. Ensure all aspects of Airside Operations are managed and delivered to expected levels of safety and in compliance with regulatory standards at all times. Setting objectives to ensure performance, targets and standards, set by MA Group, are achieved by Airside Operations. Lead the continuous improvement and development of Safety Management Systems applicable to activities in Airside Operations involving a diverse team and a broad spectrum of business partners. Responsible for budget monitoring and controlling costs to ensure best value economy, efficiency, effectiveness and quality services. Justify proposals for capital expenditure on large projects, negotiate and agree future budgetary requirements. Contribute to the long-term strategy of MA Group and ensure that future operational activity and business interests are optimized.
