Pilots' Brief

The Pilots' Brief is a document that has changed name from the Operators' Briefing Pack (OBP), previously issued by National Air Traffic Services (NATS). Its use is intended as a supplement to the information in the UK AIP and should be read in conjunction with the content of that document. Included within the brief is information about the way in which the different ATC functions at Manchester are managed and integrated, it describes the general operating procedures for managing the flow of air traffic, as well as other points of note in the various runway configurations.

The document is currently under review, the result of which will see it incorporate further important aspects of aircraft operations. Notably, in the future, the document will be published jointly by Manchester Airport (MAN) and NATS.

Despite the above mentioned review, the NATS OBP 2008 is provided herewith to help improve an understanding of aircraft operations at MAN.
