About Us
MAG Developments is the property and development arm of Manchester Airports Group and is responsible for:
- Property management
- Property development activity
- Estate and facility management
- Strategic land acquisition and disposal
The MAG Developments remit extends across all four airports within the Group comprising Manchester Airport, East Midlands Airport, Bournemouth Airport and Humberside Airport.
Following its formation five years ago MAG Developments has firmly established activity around three core areas - Strategy (involving strategic real estate planning and land acquisition, land disposal and land use); Development (encompasses identifying and delivering preferred development opportunities and infrastructure); Service Delivery (maximising property revenue). Maximising property opportunities not only focuses on unlocking development activity but also working closely with regional regeneration bodies such as SWERDA and Wythenshawe Strategic Regeneration Framework.
Established in 2001, MAG Developments subsequently acquired Ringway Developments plc which has now been successfully integrated into the MAG Developments management structure. Based at Manchester Airport but with smaller satellites base at Bournemouth and East Midlands Airports, MAG Developments has a strong in-house team supported by a flexible range of external technical partnership agreements with major national and international consultants.
MAG Developments now boasts an investment portfolio of over £300 million and manages an estate of over 5000 acres, 200 plus buildings and 850 tenants.
