Committees
Airfield Operations' chair four safety-related committees to which external organisations are invited to participate. Each committee meets regularly and has its own Terms of Reference. Acting as forums for discussion and information exchange, each of the four committees aims to foster stronger working relationships across the airfield community such that companies and their employees can better appreciate the roles of the wider airfield team.
These forums are not just ‘talking shops’ but have outputs and action plans to take forward initiatives. Taking guidance from regulatory bodies, each of the committees endeavours to:
- promote best practise
- maintain and continuously develop the existing safety management system for the airfield
- review, discuss and agree policies and procedures where necessary
Due to the potentially sensitive nature of the items discussed at each committee, some of the information has been restricted to those people who have a legitimate need to view and use it. However, the Terms of Reference for each committee can be found at the bottom of this page.
