At each of our group sites there is a huge variety of careers in many exciting roles. Each Airport operates as a town having air transport services, administration, finance, catering, hotel services, fire and medical services to name but a few. We also operate every day of the year and throughout the whole day. This means that many jobs on our site are shift based with late finishes and early morning starts.
To help you to see the scale of our operations you may like to know that 19,000 people work Manchester Airport and people are employed by over 330 different companies. This means that when you are deciding what you would like to do in your career at an Airport you may need to consider approaching several companies.

Airport Academy – We are proud of our award winning Airport Academy, championed by our Managing Director Andrew Cornish, which offers training and support to local unemployed people.

Manchester Airport work very closely with Job Centre Plus and all MAG vacancies are advertised thorugh them. The Manchester Airport JobCentre opened in 1993 to recruit staff for the many companies that are based at the Airport. It is located in Commonwealth House, which is between the Station and Terminal 2. It is close to the bus and coach station and can be accessed on foot but it does not have a dedicated car park. The opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday between 1000 and 1500 hrs. Many of the staff in this JCP branch are very experienced in Airport related roles and can give you specialist advice.
